Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) through the Malay Islamic Civilization and Product Research Institute (INSPIRE) will implement a digitization research project of the sultanate, scholars and manuscripts of the Terengganu Sultanate. This research project aims to visualize the environment of the Sultanate of Terengganu in the past in accordance with the development of IR4.0 technology for the purpose of learning, research, general knowledge and the preservation of palace heritage for present and future generations.
Projek ini juga akan memperlihatkan peranan Kesultanan Terengganu sebagai asas pemerintahan dan keagamaan Terengganu dan peranan ulama silam Terengganu dalam pentadbiran negeri. Penghasilan projek tersebut akan dapat menonjolkan kegemilangan Kesultanan Terengganu dalam konsep pemerintahan dari takhta ke rakyat jelata serta ilmuan Melayu.
This project will show the role of Terengganu Sultanate as the foundation of Terengganu government and religion as well as the role of scholars in the state administration. The output of the project will be able to highlight the glory of the Terengganu Sultanate in the concept of government from the throne to the common people and Malay scholars.
Selain itu, objektif yang ingin dicapai menerusi projek kajian tersebut adalah menghasilkan aplikasi Virtual Reality (VR) dan Augmented Reality (AR) Kesultanan Terengganu, menghasilkan video dokumentari Kesultanan Terengganu dan membangunkan portal dan aplikasi mobil berkaitan salasilah, sumbangan dan pentadbiran Kesultanan Terengganu. Persembahan dalam bentuk tiga-dimensi (3-D) menjadikan penonjolan dan pengolahannya lebih ‘hidup’, nyata dan amat menarik.
In addition, the objective that needs to be achieved through this research project is to produce a Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) application of the Terengganu Sultanate, to produce a documentary video of the Terengganu Sultanate and to develop a mobile portal and application related to the genealogy, contribution and administration of the Terengganu Sultanate. Presentation in three-dimensional form (3-D) makes the process more ‘alive’, real and interesting.
Justeru itu, projek kajian tersebut perlu dilaksanakan kerana ianya merupakan warisan yang perlu dipelihara dalam bentuk digital agar tidak pupus, menonjolkan kegemilangan pemerintahan Kesultanan Terengganu, menyebarluas maklumat Kesultanan Terengganu kepada segenap lapisan masyarakat dan akan memberi impak yang besar kepada negeri Terengganu.
Therefore, the research project needs to be carried out because it is a heritage that needs to be preserved in digital form so that it would not be disappear. Also to highlight the glory of the Terengganu Sultanate, to spread information about the Terengganu Sultanate to all levels of society and they would have a great impact on the state of Terengganu.
Terdahulu, pihak INSPIRE UniSZA telah membentangkan cadangan projek kajian tersebut kepada Yayasan DiRaja Sultan Mizan (YDSM) bagi memohon perkenan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Terengganu selaku Pengerusi YDSM. Hasilnya, YDSM bersetuju projek kajian tersebut dilaksanakan dan menyumbangkan dana sebanyak RM300 ribu kepada INSPIRE UniSZA.
Earlier, INSPIRE UniSZA presented the proposed research project to Yayasan DiRaja Sultan Mizan (YDSM) in order to apply the approval of His Majesty the Sultan of Terengganu as the chairman of YDSM. As a result, YDSM has agreed to carry out the research project and to contribute RM300 thousand to INSPIRE UniSZA.
Sebelum memulakan projek kajian tersebut, pihak UniSZA telah menganjurkan Majlis Pelancaran Projek Kajian Pendigitalan Kesultanan, Ulama dan Manuskrip Kesultanan Terengganu pada 23hb Jun 2022 bertempat di Dewan Perdana, UniSZA Kampus Gong Badak, Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. Dalam majlis tersebut, Dato’ Haji Mohd Fadzli bin Yusof, Ahli Lembaga Pemegang Amanah YDSM telah menyerahkan “Mock Cheque” bernilai RM300 ribu kepada Prof. Dr. Fadzli bin Adam, Naib Canselor UniSZA.
Before starting the research project, UniSZA has organized the launching ceremony of the digitization of the sultanate, scholars and manuscripts of the Terengganu Sultanate Project on 23rd June 2022 at Dewan Perdana, UniSZA Gong Badak Campus, Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. In the event, Dato’ Haji Mohd Fadzli bin Yusof, a member of the YDSM Board of Trustees handed over a “Mock Check” worth RM300 thousand to Prof. Dr. Fadzli bin Adam, the Vice Chancellor of UniSZA.
Turut hadir dalam majlis berkenaan ialah Ahli Lembaga Pemegang Amanah YDSM, Tuan Haji Azizulrahim bin Ahmad Zambri, Tuan Haji Mohd Fauzi bin Mustaffa, Ahli-ahli Pengurusan Tertinggi UniSZA, Pengarah Institut Penyelidikan Produk dan Ketamadunan Melayu Islam (INSPIRE), Prof. Madya Dr. Adel Mohamed Abdulaziz Al-Geriani dan Ketua Pasukan Projek Penyelidik, Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Fatma Susilawati binti Mohamad.
Also present at the ceremony were YDSM Board of Trustees, Tuan Haji Azizulrahim bin Ahmad Zambri, Tuan Haji Mohd Fauzi bin Mustaffa, members of UniSZA’s Top Management, Director of the Institute for Malay Islamic Civilization and Product Research (INSPIRE), Associate Prof. Dr. Adel Mohamed Abdulaziz Al-Geriani and the Head of the Research Project Team, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Fatma Susilawati binti Mohamad.
Projek Kajian tersebut akan diketuai oleh YBrs. Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Fatma Susilawati binti Mohamad daripada INSPIRE UniSZA. Ianya akan dilaksanakan dalam tempoh 18 bulan iaitu sehingga 15 Disember 2023. Pihak YDSM berharap projek kajian yang akan dilaksanakan berjalan lancar dan mencapai objektif yang telah ditetapkan.
This project will be led by YBrs. Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Fatma Susilawati binti Mohamad from INSPIRE UniSZA. It will be implemented within a period of 18 months, which is until December 15, 2023. YDSM hopes that this research project would be implemented smoothly and it can achieve the objectives that have been set.
